July 01, 2012

ToxiMet has been featured in the official magazine of the INC (International Nut and Dried Fruit Council), in the July 2012 issue. The Cracker is the official voice of the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council Foundation and the only international magazine dedicated to the nut and dried fruit industries. It is published three times a year, also on-line: in March, July and November, with more than 2,500 copies in circulation.

ToxiMet ( launched globally the ToxiQuant system for detection of mycotoxins during the XXXI World Nut and Dried Fruit Congress in Singapore.

The ToxiQuant system allows for easy mycotoxin testing by non-scientists and economically provides highly accurate results in less than 30 minutes.

The first application of the system is the simultaneous accurate detection of Aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1, G2) in edible nuts at international regulatory levels, at a fraction of the time and cost of HPLC.

Producers, traders and nut processors can now comply with the highest food safety standards while rotating their stock much faster and reducing their testing costs. The system has been tailored to the requirements of the nut and dried fruit community, based on the feedback of ToxiMet’s development partners, Besana and VoiceVale.
